Carrefour.io is an Open IT FabLab, an open Internet platform of collaboration and innovation.

This digital platform:


  • Allows Users to access information and communicate with each other in order to facilitate acculturation,
  • Is accessible by Self Service via an internet access, whatever the location of the user,
  • Aims to serve a broad community of developers, data scientists and digital makers (« Users ») who have access to them through Carrefour. In this context, Carrefour.io makes available, under the conditions here in after defined, computing resources for users : computing power, software, open APIs, enabling them to provide a framework for innovation and pre-industrialization

Therefore, Carrefour.io allows Users to innovate and create software prototypes, to learn and innovate in the retail sector.

Carrefour via Carrefour.io aims to:

  • Attracting and discovering new talents and ideas,
  • To allow and encourage innovation in its sector of activity,
  • Develop partnerships with Users who have created innovative prototypes for Carrefour, according to conditions to be defined.

This platform is open to employees of the Carrefour Group and to external members of the Group, under the following conditions:

By using « Carrefour.io », You agree to these general terms and conditions of use (General Terms and Conditions for the use of the Services), which may be supplemented by other terms and conditions of use, depending on the Services to which you access via Carrefour.io Will be subject to your agreement. You agree to abide by these terms and conditions as soon as you access the Services of Carrefour.io.

Carrefour reserves the right to modify at any time the General Conditions of Use of the Services Carrefour.io as well as any conditions of use applicable to the services which you will be able to access via Carrefour.io address: or via any other link relating to the other conditions of use applicable to all services offered via Carrefour.io.

You declare that you have the legal capacity required to commit you under these terms and conditions and, if applicable, the public or private legal person you represent.

Article 1: Definitions

Carrefour.io: means the portal site accessible at the address, from which the User can access the different services offered.

General Conditions of Use of the Portal Site: means the present conditions applicable to the access and use of the Carrefour.io Portal. These conditions are supplemented by the conditions of use of the Services (« Special Conditions ») applicable to any subscription by the User of the Services accessible via Carrefour i.o.


Contents: All the information available from the portal site or via the various services offered via Carrefour I.O (eg the Carrefour API Services), such as raw data, documents, images, texts, sounds, video, logos. The conditions of access and use of Contents may be subject to specific conditions.


License: Terms of use granted by Carrefour on the elements that make up the Services to which the User may subscribe.

Article 2: Purpose


These Terms of Use govern the terms and conditions under which you may access and use the Services of Carrefour.io and the Content to which you will have access.

These conditions may be supplemented by any other conditions applicable to the different Services (« Special Conditions ») accessible via Carrefour.io These conditions apply to the exclusion of any other conditions and in particular those of the user.

The user acknowledges having verified the suitability of the Services to his needs and having received from Carrefour.io  all the necessary information concerning the use of the Services that he could subscribe.

Article 3: List of Services accessible via Carrefour.io

The user may, subject to the conditions of eligibility to access the services and to accept the conditions applicable to them, subscribe to the Services:


  • Cloud hosting,
  • Agile Fabric: software platform for collaboration, integration and continuous deployment.This platform enables the implementation of the DevOps principles and pre-industrialize Innovation projects by promoting automation, code quality and testing,
  • Analytics
  • API Store

All of these services are the subject of special conditions subject to your agreement.

Article 4: Access to Carrefour.io Services

4.1 To access the Carrefour.io Services, the Carrefour User must:

For a User who is not a Carrefour employee:

  • Apply for registration on the website, in his / her name or in the case of a legal person, in the name of the legal entity, indicating the person’s reference. For the company, and fill in the corresponding registration form,
  • Accept the general conditions of use of Carrefour.io.

He must also indicate the name of his Mentor, namely the name of the person in the Carrefour group who sponsors him for the Services he wishes to use. Access to the Service (s) and their use by the User is subject to consideration by the Mentor. Mentor in its sole discretion may authorize access and use by the User to one or more of the Services requested. Mentor does not have to justify its decision to grant access or deny access to the User to one or more of the Services requested. Only after the agreement of the Mentor can the accesses be opened to the User. For a User who is a Carrefour employee:

  • The User, employee Carrefour, is registered from the space reserved for Carrefour employees. Once the Contributor has a LDAP Carrefour account, and subject to acceptance of these terms and conditions. The provider who has a LDAP Carrefour account is assimilated to a Carrefour employee.

4.2 After Carrefour has validated your registration, Carrefour will send the User a validation email to the e-mail address indicated. Upon receipt of the validation e-mail, the User can connect to the Carrefour.io portal. This validation mail must be activated within 10 days.

4.3 Carrefour may ask the User to transmit any additional information and identification data (where applicable), enabling him to validate access to such Services of Carrefour.io.

4.4 The user shall refrain from concealing or attempting to conceal his identity or the identity of his Application, when creating his account or later when using the Carrefour.io Services.

4.5 The User can access the usage statistics of the Carrefour.io Service from his online account.

4.6 You are solely responsible for the proper use of the technical elements of connection (identifiers, password, keys) and the use of the Services via its technical elements. You agree to immediately inform Carrefour of any abnormal or fraudulent use of these elements.

4.7 Carrefour may, at any time and in a discretionary manner, without having to provide any justification, reject any request for access to the Services or cut access, without Carrefour’s liability being incurred as such.

Article 5: Use of the Services

When accessing Carrefour API Services, the User must maintain a high level of security. It is your responsibility to secure your own tools or facilities or data / information that you use as part of the Services.In particular, your tools or installations or data / information must not contain or spread viruses, worms, Trojan or other malicious code.

Article 6: License of Use

The User agrees not to make use of the Services other than that defined by these General Conditions of Use and the special conditions.

6.1 Carrefour grants the User a license (which may be free of charge or for consideration based on the Service concerned and associated consumption metrics), personal, worldwide and non-exclusive, non-transferable, for the duration defined by Carrefour. Carrefour may at any time revoke the license granted to the User

6.2 The subject matter of the license is the exclusive property of Carrefour or third parties, protected by intellectual property rights, in particular copyright, neighboring rights, trademark law, right to the image, and all other applicable third party rights. The User shall, on the one hand, use the subject matter of the License (i) in accordance with the applicable License Conditions and (ii) take the necessary steps to protect the Licensed Materials from infringement of intellectual property rights, (Iii) to transfer to the end users of the licensed elements any required clauses requiring them to respect the intellectual property rights relating to such elements.

6.3 The license may be granted for free or for a fee, with or without a restriction on consumption.

6.5 You may not use the Carrefour Services:

  • to promote Carrefour’s competitors.
  • Harm Carrefour’s interests or use it contrary to the interests of Carrefour,
  • Develop applications in connection with spyware, adware, or malicious programs,
  • Use the Licensed Materials in a manner that contravenes any law or regulation of public order or morality, or which would infringe upon the rights of persons, including without limitation, proprietary rights Intellectual property, respect for privacy, or the rights of individuals.
  • To cause or attempt to cause damage to Carrefour, such as damaging Carrefour’s image, damaging the operation of Carrefour’s information system or saturating Carrefour’s bandwidth.
  • To interfere with the functionality or proper functioning of the Services,
  • relocate, obscure, modify or render illegible any mention, including in particular the references to intellectual property rights;

6.7 The User agrees not to make commercial use of the Services and in particular to sell, resell, redistribute, rent or license or transfer the subject matter of the license or your right to use the Services.

6.8 Carrefour.io may put in place any measures to control your use of the Carrefour.io Services and its compliance with the applicable conditions of use.

6.9 The user is solely responsible for the use of the Carrefour.io Services. You agree to use the elements under license in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations (including when using these elements in a country other than France), Terms and Conditions of Use of the Services and any other Specifications.

Article 7: Duration

7.1 Unless otherwise specified, Carrefour reserves the right at any time, without prior notice and without liability, to modify, suspend or terminate access to all or part of the Services.

7.2 Upon termination of access to the Services and for any reason whatsoever, the User shall no longer have access to the Services and the subject matter of the license. Any suspension of the Services implies, in any case, for the User to cease its use.

7.3 The provisions of these general conditions, which are concluded for the duration of their own duration, will endure beyond the term of these general conditions. 10.3 Carrefour shall not be liable for any damages you may suffer as a result of using the Services.

10.4 The User warrants crossroads against any third party claim, relating to its use of the Services, and will keep Carrefour unharmed. The User shall compensate Carrefour for any consequences resulting from such claims, claims by third parties, such as losses, damages, legal fees, fees of any kind and of any kind that Carrefour may incur.

Article 12: Confidentiality

In the event that via the Services the User has access to confidential information to Carrefour, the User is prohibited from infringing the confidentiality obligation that attaches to this type of information. This confidentiality obligation will apply as long as Carrefour has not expressly waived it.

Article 13 Convention of Evidence

It is expressly agreed between the Parties the computer records made by the Customer’s information system, will be proof of the use of the Computer Services by the User, which the User accepts expressly.

Article 14: General clause

14.1 The failure of either Party to be late in exercising any of its rights under these terms and conditions or not to exercise these rights or not to rely on Failure to comply with any of the obligations of the said General Terms and Conditions shall not be deemed a waiver of the foregoing rights or obligation in respect of any past or future event.

14.2 If one or more of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions are held to be invalid or declared to be invalid by a court decision that has become final, the remaining provisions shall retain their force and effect.

14.3 It is expressly understood between the Parties that the User acts in his own name and on his own account as an independent contractor in the performance of his obligations under the terms of the General Conditions. These Terms and Conditions shall in no way be construed as creating a legal or de facto company, an agent or agent relationship, a contract of employment between the Parties. By express agreement, no Party shall have the authority and power to bind or contract on its behalf or create any liability whatsoever in any way whatsoever and for any purpose .


Article 15: Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These conditions are subject to French law. In case of dispute exclusive jurisdiction is awarded to the Commercial Court of Paris.
